Sphagnum irish moss peat, personally I use this as is for Dionaea, Sarracenia and Drosera and get good results, good moisture retention and for me the best thing to grow Dionaea in.
An all round media used by many for Dionaea, Sarracenia, Drosera and can be ok for Pinguicula, Darlingtonia will grow in it too dependant on conditions.
I use this mainly for Nepenthes but also find it good for larger Sarracenia although plants need more time to root in, soak well before first use.
Used for mixing with other media or alone as a sterile base for cuttings, be mindful of harful dust while the perlite is dry.
